Emily Barn is a beautiful  Derbyshire Long Barn, Stone Built and some 90 feet in length, full of Charm and Character.    Emily Barn  offers  Accommodation for Groups Sleeping up to 15  with Modern Comforts  such as Under Floor Heating  throughout,  which is extracted  from a Ground Heat Source.  This bright sunny Barn still retains Characteristics such as Oak Beams and Stone Flagged Floors on all Ground Floors with lovely Woollen Rugs, whilst the Hayloft has Oak Flooring throughout again with Under Floor Heating..   Modern facilities such as Wi-fi and Sky TV are also Provided.

A Llittle History on Swiers Farm

The Farm became redundant in 1991 when Carsington Water was completed, since the farmland now lies beneath Carsington Water.   Swiers Farm still retains a couple of acres and Emily Barn has an adjacent Croft for ball games, picnics, or perhaps a quiet moment to absorb the beauty of  its delightful setting.

Our family moved to the Farm in 1992 with our four small children.   We have been slowly renovating ever since.   Emily Barn  has been a delight to work  since it has so much charm and character.     Each year we do a little more, perhaps extending the gardens, perhaps upgrading a  kitchen,  and we are more than a little pleased with the end results.     We think Emily Barn Cottage is just lovely with traditional doors,  flagged floors,  simple decor and lovely rugs along with comfortable settees and mellow furniture, lovely pictures and other traditional features combine to create a warm and cosy atmosphere home from home.
